Ottawa Gets 8-7 Win
Fans watched the Ottawa Lynx and the Pikeville Cavalry fight to the finish.

The Ottawa Lynx spoiled a good performance by Pikeville third baseman Ryan Syfrett, bumping off Pikeville, 8-7, at Cavalry Grounds. Syfrett went 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Lynx, at 55-53, have now won 4 straight.

Ottawa center fielder Tony Moctezuma contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the seventh. With two down, he hit a slider to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 101st hit of the season and put the Lynx ahead, 7-5.

"Feels good to get the job done," Moctezuma said after the game.
