The Aurora Paints topped the Newport Unicorns, 7-3, in Sub League 1 action at Chanticleers Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Aurora pitcher Josh Pitts. Pitts got the win, improving to 3-3. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 7.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Aurora goes to 64-65, Newport to 60-69.

Nelson Archuleta hit a run-scoring triple off Armando Castro in the top of the first, which put the Paints in front, 1-0. Archuleta had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Archuleta told the Aurora Chronicle.
