Desperados Lose to Golden Gophers in Walk-Off

Little Rock Grounds played host to some high drama.
Little Rock registered a win at Little Rock Grounds by beating the Medford Desperados, 4-1. Pitcher Danny Mendoza was one reason why the Golden Gophers triumphed. The first-place Golden Gophers, at 81-23, lead the Sub League 1 West Division by 29 games.
Little Rock got a clutch hit from Jason Perrigin. The shortstop socked a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was game-ender.
"This place was rocking at the end," Mendoza said.
