Little Rock pitcher Caleb Bond had a large part in his team beating the Santa Ana Black Aces, 5-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Golden Gophers bumped their record to 103-24 with this latest triumph.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the fifth inning, but Bond was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 3rd and Santa Ana trailing 2-0, Bond retired Matt Grissom, who popped out.
