Richards, Heathens Wallop Desperados in Game 2 of DS
Behind the big bat of catcher Bruce Richards, the Halifax Heathens have opened up a healthy early lead in the Divisional Series. The Heathens topped the Austin Desperados 10-0 at Estadio Azteca today in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. Richards hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 to power Halifax to victory.

In the bottom of the first, Richards had one of his most important at-bats: a 3-run home run off Brent Hansen that staked the Heathens to a 3-0 lead.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Richards.

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, October 15th , 2020 at Estadio Azteca in Halifax.
