The performance of B.J. Price proved critical in helping Providence beat Little Rock, 8-2. The Hex left fielder went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Carl Bennett, the winning pitcher, improved to 5-4. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 1 run, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The win boosted Providence to 65-55.

Price had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth to put Providence in front, 3-1. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run off Little Rock pitcher Andy Yule.
