The Medford Desperados used the hitting of center fielder Milt Sallee to subdue the Providence Hex, 6-3. For the game, Sallee was 2 for 3 with 2 triples and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. The first-place Desperados lifted their record to 71-27.

Sallee had a game-changing triple in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 fastball from Rich Abril, he banged a run-scoring triple to right-center, giving the Desperados a 4-3 lead. It was the 3rd triple of the year for Sallee.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Medford manager Noah Alexander.
