The Medford Desperados defeated the Little Rock Golden Gophers, 8-0. Third Baseman Lamar Bridges deserved a large share of the credit. Bridges went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 times for the Desperados. The win elevated the Desperados to 78-41.

The Golden Gophers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Desperados going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old left fielder Cody Griffith came to the plate. Griffith hit a 3-run home run on a 1-0 cutter from Little Rock hurler Jared Martinez. It was Griffith's 22nd home run of the year.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Little Rock manager Jose Moreno.
