Marshalls Hammered by Anderson, Fall Further Behind in WS
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of left fielder Pat Anderson, the Hartford Matadors got a road win against the Fremont Marshalls, 6-5, in Game 2 of the World Series today. Anderson went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Matadors, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.
Anderson turned the game around in the top of the seventh. That's when the Hartford left fielder dialed up a grand slam home run. Just like that, Hartford's 4-2 deficit turned into a 6-4 lead.
In postgame comments, Anderson told the Hartford Today: "Do people still doubt I give 100 percent?"
The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 9th , 2020 at Ballpark of Tacoma in Hartford.
