Providence and Santa Ana duked it out and the Hex came out victorious.

The Providence Hex had to overcome a big game from Santa Ana right fielder Matt Grissom to leave Santa Ana Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6. Grissom hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Providence has a record of 63-52, placing them third in the Sub League 1 East Division.

Providence used the timely hitting of Omar Flores to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Hex on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Flores said.
