Capitols Win League Championship Series
The Augusta Capitols are one step closer to winning a World Series, and the season came to a close for the Sonoma Scorpions.

Augusta won the League Championship Series 4-2, with a 2-1 victory in the deciding game at The Capitol Dome today.

Augusta center fielder Ethan Covington was named the MVP of the series, after hitting .263 with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 3 homers, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

"I just hope I can keep it up in the World Series," he said.

The Augusta Capitols will play against the Winchester Mountaineers in the next round. Winchester won their series against the Rohnert Park Cougars 4 games to 0. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
