Golden Gophers Get Extra-Inning, 3-2 Win
The Little Rock Golden Gophers picked up a win at Little Rock Grounds, downing the Newport Unicorns, 3-2, in 12 innings. On the mound for Little Rock was right-hander Brad Martin, who played a pivotal role in the win. Now 95-18, Little Rock has won 18 consecutive games.

In the bottom of the 12th, Pete Drake had a chance to play the hero. And he did, socking a run-scoring single off Newport pitcher Allen D'Amico.

"We're on a roll," said Golden Gophers manager Jose Moreno.
