Naturals Grounds was the site for Sub League 1 action featuring the Greensboro Naturals and Aurora Paints.
Aurora used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jim Unknown to down the Greensboro Naturals, 6-1. Unknown, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 2 and giving up 5 walks. Jim Unknown collected save number 1.
The Paints got a big at-bat from catcher Dave Rotolo. For the game, Rotolo was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the second, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave Aurora a 2-0 lead.
"Jim just settled in and did what he does," said Aurora manager Michael Wright.
The Paints go to 43-67 with the win.
