Golden Gophers Need Extra Innings to Top Warlocks, 5-4
The Little Rock Golden Gophers faced a tough opponent in Waco pitcher Carlos Zamora, but found a way to pull out the victory at Warlocks Grounds by a final score of 5-4 in 11 innings. Zamora went 5.1 innings and allowed 3 runs. Ronnie Downard earned the save for Little Rock, his 8th of the year. The Golden Gophers, now 92-18, have won 15 in a row.

Little Rock used a timely hit from Max Crawford to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Golden Gophers ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Crawford told the Little Rock Herald. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
