Almost There: Ft. Wayne On Cusp of CS Triumph After 3-2 Win
The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes moved to within one game of the World Series today, downing the Riverside Wolverines on the road at Wolverines Ballpark by a score of 3-2. Earthquakes left-hander Sean Stevens had a strong outing. He threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Earthquakes a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

Orlando de Jesus, the 22-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. de Jesus contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Ft. Wayne up, 2-0.

"Every loss stings," said Riverside manager Chris Rauch. "This one is no exception."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolverines Ballpark in Riverside.
