Raucous Dolly Parton Ballpark Crowd Propels Partons to 4-2 Victory; Series Tied at 3
|
The Dollywood Partons and the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks will take the World Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Partons beat the Jet Hawks 4-2 at Dolly Parton Ballpark to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Dollywood right-hander Jared Trombley had a big role in the win. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball.
Trombley gave Dollywood a solid start. The right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 6 innings.
"It feels a lot better to be tied than to be behind, even if it is only one game," Dollywood manager Adam Freeman said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dolly Parton Ballpark in Pigeon Forge.
