Fremont Tops Walnut Park Again, 5-2
Walnut Park had no answer for Fremont starter Chris Mattison, who flummoxed Bobcats hitters as the Marshalls cruised to victory, 5-2, in Game 2 of the Division Series today. The Marshalls now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series, thanks in large part to the left-handed Mattison, who controlled Walnut Park throughout the contest and threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball.

John Piscitelli, the 21-year old second baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Piscitelli contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Fremont up, 5-2.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Piscitelli told the Fremont Bulletin. "But we take nothing for granted."

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Hedgehogs Ballpark in Fremont.
