The Aurora Paints scooped up a win at Paints Park, dumping the Providence Hex, 3-1. Rick Gregg, who is tied for 6th in the SL1 in quality starts with 8, was essential to his team's success. Tyler Reynolds earned the save for Aurora. The Paints now own a record of 49-58.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Paints had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when designated hitter Bob Mauser hit a run-scoring single. The single came off John Savage and made the score 3-1, Paints. Mauser was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks.

Mauser called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
