Aurora Absorbs 3-1 Loss to Providence
|
Carl Bennett never let Aurora get something going. The Providence right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Hex to a 3-1 win. Bennett yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-3. Earning his 20th save of the year was D.J. Nelson.
Shinichi Ota had a direct impact on the outcome. Ota contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Providence up, 3-1.
"I still think this team can play even better," Ota told the Providence Gazette.
