The Ottawa Lynx extended their winning streak.

The Ottawa Lynx beat the Waco Warlocks, 10-5, at Warlocks Grounds. The win was due in part to center fielder Andy Laws, who went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Esteban Montoya, the winning pitcher, is now 6-3. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 9 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 1.

Arturo Rodriguez had a big 2-run home run for the Lynx in the top of the fourth inning. With Ottawa leading 2-1 and a runner on 3rd, he sized up a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Christiano Gaona and punished it. The result was his 2nd home run of the season, which put the Lynx on top, 4-1.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Rodriguez, "and then get after it again."

With the win, Ottawa has a record of 73-32. Waco falls to 47-58.
