White Deer Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-1
On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Bangor Lumberjacks team, Dionísio Manteigueiro had a tough assignment. He delivered.

The White Deer Tropics right-hander dominated the hosts, tossing 7 innings of shutout ball and guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 2-0. Manteigueiro, 23, threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball in the contest. The win means White Deer now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Manteigueiro, a native of Caracas, Venezuela, was dealing all game. He kept Bangor hitters off-balance, while giving the Tropics 7 quality innings. Manteigueiro threw 94 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 6.

"Things broke our way today and that's great," Tropics manager Wil Olivares said. "It's important, though, to stay focused and not pat yourself on the back too much. We aren't done yet."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of White Deer in White Deer.
