Medford right fielder Arturo Tinoco had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Tinoco was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, even as Santa Ana beat the Desperados, 7-6. Chris Williams, who is tied for 2nd in the SL1 in holds with 7, was the winner in relief. His record is now 4-1. The losing pitcher was Angel Alvarez. The Black Aces have a one-game lead in the Sub League 1 Central Division.

Nate Berg was the walk-off hero for Santa Ana. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Black Aces right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Medford manager Noah Alexander. "But we decided not to take it."
