Flyers Win Division Series
The Division Series may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The Newark Flyers, however, are not complaining.

The Flyers were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the San Antonio Stallions to advance to the League Championship Series.

Newark won the final game by a 7-1 count at Alamo Field and the series 4-1.

Flyers first baseman Andy Sklar was named series MVP, as he hit .450 with a .455 on-base percentage. He added 5 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 7 runs.

"It's not going to be the last time San Antonio makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Sklar said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day."

The Newark Flyers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Santa Rosa Desperados - Deltaville Deltas series. Deltaville leads the series 3 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
