Ottawa Lynx starter Josh Few pitched a strong game against the Pikeville Cavalry at Rivermen Ballpark, leading the Lynx to victory, 7-3. Few, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 2 walks. Ottawa is now 38-39, Pikeville 27-50.

Tony Moctezuma had a big solo home run for the Lynx in the bottom of the third inning. With Ottawa leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a curveball from Dan Tettemer, who is tied for 2nd in the SL1 in strikeouts with 81, and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the Lynx on top, 2-0.
