Santa Ana Hot Streak Continues with 8-6 Win
|
Julian left fielder Jake Ellerbrock had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Ellerbrock was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3, even as Santa Ana beat the Jammers, 8-6. Engo Hirai, the winning pitcher, improved to 6-7. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 0. Picking up his 3rd save was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Isaiah White.
Santa Ana right fielder Matt Grissom delivered a 2-run home run in the top of the third. Overall, he went 3 for 5, picking up 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and knocked in 2.
