|
Waco first baseman Dane Hove had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Providence Hex, 6-5. Mark Galinski got the win, improving to 3-2. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 3 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. Ben Whitman finished the game for Waco and earned his 2nd save.
Hove had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Angel Garabito, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Warlocks a 5-3 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Hove.
"They beat us fair and square," Providence skipper Dave Hale said.
The win elevated the Warlocks to 50-48.
