Warlocks Pull Out Late-Game Win, 3-2
The Waco Warlocks, despite a fine performance by Medford pitcher Jose Diaz, grabbed a 3-2 win at Warlocks Grounds. Diaz allowed 1 run over 6 innings. The win was credited to Pete Bowden in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Mike Allen took the loss. Their 44-53 record puts the Warlocks third in the Sub League 1 Central Division.

In the bottom of the ninth, with no one out and the game tied, 2-2, 21-year old first baseman Chris Shelton won it for Waco. With a runner on 3rd, Shelton hit a full count fastball from Mike Allen for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.

Shelton said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
