Capitols Heading to League Championship Series
The Augusta Capitols have beaten the Cincinnati Bombardiers and will advance to the League Championship Series.

Augusta won the final game by a 2-1 count to take the series 4-2. The Capitols triumph was no doubt in large part because of the performance of catcher Dustin Downing, who was named MVP of the series.

"The only thing that matters is that we're off to the next round and one step closer to a World Series," he said.

The Augusta Capitols will play against the Sonoma Scorpions in the next round. Sonoma won their series against the Vail Tigercats 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
