Royals Dominate, Sweep Divisional Series
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the National Conference Divisional Series. It turned out quite a bit different.


The Cincinnati Royals swept aside the Maine Pines to advance to the Championship Series, winning the final game by a 6-2 score at The Castle.

The series MVP was first baseman Aaron Jalbert, who hit .529 with a .579 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Cincinnati Royals don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Charleston Shiners - San Diego Fleet series. Charleston leads the series 3 games to 1. The Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
