Divisional Series Game 1 Victory for Hollenbeck and Hollywood
The Hollywood Stars started the Divisional Series in style, downing the visiting Maine Pines at Hollywood Grounds by a score of 4-3 to stake an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Stars left-hander Jason Hollenbeck threw 7.1 innings allowing 3 runs.

Had Aharon Kroyan not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 1st, Kroyan hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Stars.

After the game, Hollywood manager Sean Simmers applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Hollywood Grounds in Los Angeles.
