Ramirez, Invaders Wallop Royals in Game 3 of DS
Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Ernesto Ramirez, the Oakland Invaders got a road win against the Cincinnati Royals, 11-1, in Game 3 of the Divisional Series. Ramirez slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Invaders, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Oakland won the game in part because of Steve McKinstry. The first baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Invaders ahead, 8-1. For the game, McKinstry had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Oakland manager Tyrone Hairston.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Castle in Cincinnati.
