The Santa Ana Black Aces beat the Little Rock Golden Gophers, 7-4, at Little Rock Grounds. Eric Heatley starred for Santa Ana. He was 3-4 with a triple and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Jose Moncion snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits over 2 innings. The Golden Gophers had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Black Aces going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old center fielder Kyle Twigg came to the plate. Twigg hit a solo home run on a 1-0 cutter from Little Rock hurler Jared Martinez. It was Twigg's 23rd home run of the year.

"No time for posing," said Heatley. "The next game will be here before you know it."

Santa Ana now has a record of 74-21 with the win.
