Little Rock Scrapes Out 3-1 Win
|
The Little Rock Golden Gophers earned a close win over the Santa Ana Black Aces, thanks in part to Caleb Bond. The Little Rock left-hander, who is tied for 2nd in the SL1 in innings pitched with 131.2, played a key role in the 3-1 victory. Eddie O'Connor nailed down his 3rd save. At 75-19, the Golden Gophers have a slim two-game lead in the Sub League 1 Central Division.
Travis Rosenberg cracked a home run off Ryan Martin in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run blast put the Golden Gophers on top, 3-1. In all, Rosenberg had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Watch and learn," said Rosenberg. "This is what good pitching looks like."
