Boston Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 3-1

Leave it to the veteran.
The Boston Whistlers got a great start from 36-year-old right-hander Antonio Higuera, as Boston took the 5-2 win at Whislters Park over the series-leading Halifax Heathens. Higuera threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball and helped Boston close their deficit to 3 games to 1 in the best-of-7 series.
In the bottom of the fifth, Boston first baseman Carlos Herrera had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out, Herrera stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 2-0, Boston. For the game, he went 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Postseason wins taste oh so sweet," said Higuera after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Whislters Park in Boston.
