Black Aces Reel Off Another Win
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Santa Ana Black Aces and Little Rock Golden Gophers.
The Santa Ana Black Aces polished off the Little Rock Golden Gophers by the score of 6-1. The largest share of the credit belonged to third baseman Chris Mitchell. Mitchell went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles for the Black Aces. Randy Wall earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3.2 innings. His record is now 7-0.
Santa Ana got a big at-bat from East Jordan, Michigan native Bill Kibler, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 30th double of the season and put the Black Aces ahead, 4-0.
"We're obviously playing with a lot of confidence," said Santa Ana manager Elias Quesada.
The Santa Ana winning streak has reached 6 games.
