Pierce Blasts Ghosts, Lasers Take Game 1, 8-5
The Nashville Lasers started the Division Series in style today, winning on the road against the Laredo Ghosts at Ghosts Ballpark by a score of 8-5 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Lasers center fielder Danny Pierce excelled. He went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice.

In the top of the first of a scoreless game, Pierce hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.

"Postseason wins taste oh so sweet," said Pierce after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ghosts Ballpark in Laredo.
