Riding the 3-hit performance of designated hitter Gustavo Orozco, the Halifax Heathens stopped the visiting Boston Whistlers, 6-5, in Game 2 of the Championship Series. Orozco was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Heathens, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Collingdale, Pennsylvania native Gustavo Orozco had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the seventh for the Heathens. With Halifax trailing 5-4, he hit a 2-run double.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Orozco, "one at-bat at a time."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Whislters Park in Boston.
