The Halifax Heathens got a strong performance from pitcher Jonathan Allen, who stymied the visiting Austin Desperados en route to a win, 6-1, in Game 2 of the Divisional Series. The Desperados could never get a bead on the right-handed Allen, who threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The Heathens now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

Allen allowed 1 run on 5 hits over 7 innings for the Heathens. He walked 2 and struck out 10.

"I just tried to focus on getting that first guy out every inning," said Allen.

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, October 8th , 2022 at Dell Diamond in Austin.
