Alex Almanza pitched well, but his team, the Newport Unicorns, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Ottawa Lynx at Chanticleers Ballpark. Randy Nitchals recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 6 for 6. The Lynx have an impressive 60-31 record.

Ottawa took a 4-0 lead on Tim McHugh's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which McHugh hit in the top of the eighth, left Newport pitcher Carlos Palmas visibly frustrated.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Victor Sepulveda.
