Unicorns Pull Off Thrilling 6-5 Win in Extras
The Newport Unicorns got a hard-earned win over the Medford Desperados, 6-5, in 11 innings. Hugo Campos provided some offensive muscle for Newport. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. With the win, Newport pushed its record to 33-33.

The decisive blow was delivered by Andrew Ortiz in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Rafael Rivera to win the game for Newport. The home crowd went nuts.

"This place was rockin'," said Ortiz.
