Raucous Crawdad Park Crowd Propels Crawdads to 11-5 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Hickory Crawdads and the Randolph Prairie Thunder will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Crawdads beat the Prairie Thunder, 11-5, at Crawdad Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Hickory first baseman Hugo Quiles was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Crawdads grabbed the lead when Brian Miller rapped a two-out home run. Hickory was trailing 4-3, when Miller hit a 3-run home run off Brian Underwood to put his team in front, 6-4.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Miller.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Crawdad Park in Hickory.
