Joel Gary added some punch to the Aurora offense, helping them outmuscle the Julian Jammers, 8-7. In the game, Gary, who is tied for 9th in the SL1 in triples with 3, went 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Eric Tate, the winner, improved to 4-2. He held the Jammers to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 3. Tyler Reynolds closed the door for Aurora, picking up his 3rd save of the year.

The Paints got a big hit from third baseman Constantin Lupu. Facing Julian pitcher Mike Miller in the top of the eighth, Lupu pounded a run-scoring double to right. His 16th double of the season put the Paints ahead, 8-3.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Julian manager Cameron Pabst.

This loss makes it 6 in a row for Julian.
