Prairie Thunder Hammered by Herrera, Drop Game 2 to Crawdads
The Hickory Crawdads defeated the Randolph Prairie Thunder, 8-6, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. Making an impact was right fielder Ricardo Herrera, who belted 2 home runs. The win moves Hickory into a 1-1 tie with Randolph in the series.

Butch Weeks had a clutch at-bat with two out in the bottom of the sixth for the Crawdads. Coming up with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Hickory trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single.

"It was a good day but I'm not letting my guard down," Weeks said. "I'll let my guard down as soon as someone puts a big, fat championship ring on my finger."

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, October 2nd , 2022 at Prairie Thunder Ballpark in Randolph.
