Governors Clip Lasers, 2-1, in CS Contest
|
Already down in the League Championship Series, the Little Rock Governors put on their best show, beating the Nashville Lasers by a final score of 2-1. Malcolm Slater was special. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. Little Rock now trails Nashville 3-2 in the best-of-7 affair.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Alain Arnaud? The 26-year old left fielder Arnaud stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Little Rock up, 2-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
Arnaud called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, October 5th , 2022 at Ballpark of Newport News in Little Rock.
