Warlocks Pick Up 10-2 Win Against Newport
Warlocks first baseman Dane Hove put his stamp on his team's 10-2 win over the Newport Unicorns. Hove was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 for Waco in the contest. Waco pitcher Dan Tettemer earned the win, hiking his record to 5-1. Matt Bowden suffered the loss. Earning his 1st save of the year was Mario Acosta.

Francisco Reina had a big 3-run home run for the Warlocks in the bottom of the third inning. With Waco leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Matt Bowden and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Warlocks on top, 6-2.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Hove, "one at-bat at a time."

The victory gives Waco a record of 45-43.
