Lynx Improve to 55-29 with 6-1 Win
|
Behind a solid performance from first baseman Jeremy Vetsch, the Ottawa Lynx defeated the Waco Warlocks, 6-1. Vetsch went 2 for 2 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Lynx. Ottawa reliever Dan Krieg picked up the win, raising his record to 3-2. Dan Tettemer was tagged with the loss. The Lynx have an impressive 55-29 record.
Vetsch had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Carlos Orosco, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Lynx a 5-1 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Vetsch.
"Enjoyed this one," Vetsch told the Ottawa Citizen. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
