Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Gary Nahum, the Santa Rosa Desperados got a road win against the Newark Flyers, 5-3, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. Nahum went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Desperados, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.
In the top of the third, Santa Rosa third baseman Jose Sanchez had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Sanchez stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 2-0, Santa Rosa. For the game, he was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Sanchez.
