Lasers Win, Move to Within 1 Game of World Series
The Nashville Lasers are one game away from a sweep of the League Championship Series after stifling the Little Rock Governors by a score of 2-0 at Lasers Ballpark. Lasers right-hander Marshall Jimenez had a strong performance. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Nashville now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Lasers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when third baseman Joe Cross hit a 2-run home run. The home run came off Matt Rector and made the score 2-0, Lasers. Cross was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

Nashville manager Kenny McElhaney commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Lasers Ballpark in Nashville.
