The Providence Hex topped the Medford Desperados, 4-1, in Sub League 1 action at Ballpark of Medford. The standout performance belonged to Providence pitcher and Grayson, Georgia, native Dennis Black. The winner was Black. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Josh Poehlein. The victory gives Providence a record of 47-38.
Rafael Miranda, who is tied for 4th in the SL1 in bases on balls with 54, had a direct impact on the outcome. Miranda contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Providence up, 1-0.
