The Medford Desperados could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Antonio Rodriguez into a win. Instead, the Ottawa Lynx prevailed, 7-3. Rodriguez threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball. Ottawa is now 56-26.

Josh Giunta found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the eighth. Facing Medford hurler Keith Price, the 21-year-old catcher hit a sacrifice fly. His 10th RBI of the season put the Lynx on top, 4-3.

"I had a good game," said Giunta. "Winning makes it even better."
