The Portland Mad Ants and the Montreal Royals will take the Division Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Mad Ants beat the Royals, 5-1, at Turtles Ballpark to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Portland right-hander Luis Alcoser had a big role in the win. He threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball.

Alcoser, the Portland right-hander, went 8 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. He collected 6 strikeouts.

"I'm happy we won," said Alcoser. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
