Raucous Marshals Ballpark Crowd Propels Marshals to 5-4 Victory; Series Tied at 2

The Baxter Springs Marshals got a strong game from starter John Pyles, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.
The Marshals took the 5-4 win over the Hartford Matadors in Game 4 of the Division Series in a 9th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed Pyles. Pyles threw 5.2 innings allowing 4 runs in the win, which brought the Marshals into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.
Baxter Springs got a knockout punch from Art MacDonald. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"That was a lot of fun, watching both teams compete," said Marshals manager Mitsuaki Sakaguchi.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Marshals Ballpark in Baxter Springs.
