Governors Hammered by Brosius, Drop Game 5 to Matadors
Hartford Matadors left fielder Jake Brosius was the difference-maker at Ballpark of Newport News, as he led his club to victory in a pivotal Game 5 of the Division Series. The Matadors took the 4-3 win over the Little Rock Governors to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Brosius delivered big-time for Hartford, stroking a dramatic solo home run off Malik Aldridge. The game-changing hit put the Matadors on top, 4-3.

"We ground out the win," said Brosius. "That's all that matters."

Game 6 is scheduled for Monday at Ballpark of Tacoma in Hartford.
